A-Urba - 33rd national meeting of urban planning agencies

The theme chosen for this next meeting is "Encrypt and decrypt the cities". The event is organized by the Fnau and a-urba. We teamed up with the Bordeaux-based design agency Kubik in order to create a visual based on the interpretation of the geographic data of the 53 agencies.
We have developed a Processing application aiming at conceiving a graphic poster of the project out of banks of geo-localized data. This data visualization tool generates a circular graphics where the angle and length of each slice describe the distance from an agency to the meeting point in Bordeaux. This process sustains the idea of observation and statistics tool as one of the seminal idea of that congress.
The generated graphics remind the shape of an eye.
